Diamond Certification

A certification of a diamond is the ‘blueprint of a diamond, linking its identity, authenticity and quality of that diamond. It tells you the diamond’s exact measurements and weight, also its cut, colour, clarity, symmetry and polish. It gives u a precise description of all the individual characteristics of that diamond. Diamonds that are accompanied by certifications serves as a proof to clients, traders and jewellers guaranteeing the quality and value of their purchase.

GIA

GIA was established in 1931- It is an independent and non-profit organisation that set the benchmark universally for a diamond’s authenticity and quality. This institute developed the International grading system and the 4C’s – a grading system adopted by jewellers and traders worldwide.

Every GIA diamond is accompanied by a Diamond Grading Report or Diamond Dossier which outlines it weights, measurements, grading results and other important data such as a GIA number which is inscribed on the girdle of your diamond linking that certificate to your diamond. GIA’s grading reports are considered to be the hallmark of integrity throughout the diamond world.

JVCO HRD

HRD

HRD Antwerp diamond grading lab was established in 1976 and was the first diamond grading facility to be accredited worldwide by ISO (International organisation of standardization), according to standards for testing laboratories. The characteristics described in its accompanying certificate have been thoroughly checked by expert gemmologists whom adhere with the diamond grading of polished diamonds set by IDC (International Diamond Corporation). HRD certificate represents the hallmark of authentic European quality and allows any consumer to purchase diamonds or jewellery in full confidence. Just like GIA, HRD certificates have incorporated exclusive security features in its certificate which are visible with a loupe or UV light.
